What our packing service includes

Packing is where most moving damage actually happens, and it is the part people underestimate the most. A two-bedroom apartment is typically 60 to 80 boxes. Our crews pack a full home in hours, not days, and everything is labeled by room so unloading is fast.

Fragile and high-value items

TVs travel in padded TV boxes. Mirrors, glass tabletops, and framed art go into picture boxes with corner protection. Dishes and glassware are wrapped individually and packed vertically in double-walled dish packs: the way that survives a 400-mile drive down I-5.

How packing is priced

Packing is billed by the hour with materials included in your quote, or bundled into the fixed price of a long-distance move. Tell your moving specialist you want packing when you request a quote, and it will be in the price you approve. No surprises on moving day.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to empty my dresser drawers?

Light clothing can usually stay in sturdy dressers for local moves. For long-distance moves we recommend emptying drawers: it protects both the furniture and the contents.

Can you pack just my kitchen?

Yes. Partial packing is one of our most popular options: the kitchen and fragile items take the most skill and time, and many clients hand us exactly that.

When does packing happen?

For most homes we pack the day before the move. Smaller apartments can be packed and moved the same day.
