Hourly billing makes this the most-asked question in local moving. Honest ranges, assuming a packed-and-ready home:
- Studio or one-bedroom: 3 to 5 hours door to door
- Two-bedroom apartment: 5 to 7 hours
- Three-bedroom house: 7 to 9 hours
- Large family home: a full day, sometimes two crews
What stretches these numbers
Stairs (each flight adds real time), long carries from truck to door, disassembly-heavy furniture, and above all: packing that is not finished when the crew arrives. Loose items take five times longer to load than boxed ones. The single best thing you can do for your bill is have everything in closed boxes by the morning of.
What shrinks them
Reserved parking at the door, an elevator booked for the window, boxes labeled by room, and beds stripped before the crew walks in. A prepared two-bedroom can genuinely finish in four hours.
Long-distance is different: the price is one flat rate, so the clock is our problem, not yours. That is the whole point.
